Getting there from the cruise port
Cruise ships calling at Rijeka may use different docking areas, and some calls tender rather than berth alongside. From the main passenger terminal, Rijeka's centre (including Korzo) is often walkable in roughly 5–10 minutes, but berths and walking times vary by call, so treat that as a guide rather than a guarantee. Destinations such as Krk, Istria and Slovenia's karst sites all require organised coach or private transport from the port. Cross-border tours into Slovenia require valid travel documentation as required by the operator and border authorities; delays at the border are possible, so build a conservative return buffer. Always plan your day backwards from the ship's stated all-aboard time, not only its published departure.
